Auction Spot #19

A Porsche 928 is very high on my list of cars to own, but with prices rocketing it doesn’t look like that will happen anytime soon (unless I buy a complete rotbox with half of the parts missing). This one looks to be in lovely condition and is a later S4 model that was originally delivered to Japan in 1991. Finished in Amethyst Purple with a matching (and very period) interior that probably offends a lot of the eyes that see it. The car was only imported to the UK in 2003 and has covered only 43,000 miles in its lifetime, which is nothing for a big V8 super coupe like this. This car has also been featured in ‘Modern Classics’ magazine and is registered with the plate ‘A928 GEM’ which seems quite apt. The guide is £26,000-£30,000 and I don’t think that is a bad price at all for this beauty, especially when considering its low mileage.
